The “Bussy” project presents “Miss or Missus?” performance at the French culture Center
On the 16th of March, the BuSSy project presents their new Performance “Mademoiselle or Madame?’” that will take place at the French Culture Center in Mounira (institute Francais d’Egypte).
Noting that, the doors open at 7:30 pm, no tickets needed, first come, first served, and the show is for adults +18 , the “Bussy” said in their public invitation.
Added to that, the performance is a selection of stories and reflections about the social pressures single women face.
The performance is a result of a storytelling workshop that started in October 2015.
The “BuSSy” project is a performing arts project that documents and gives voice to censored untold stories about gender in different communities in Egypt.
The project has been active since 2006, originating at the American University in Cairo following a performance of the Vagina Monologues, and in 2010 the group took their work outside and then held many workshops and performances in public spaces, where women and men step on stage to share their stories.
