There’s No Escaping the Fact that Trump is a Sexual Harasser
Before being elected as president of the United States, Donald Trump was known for his long history of denigrating women, and his sexist commentary has been noted over the last years. It seems that the presidency didn’t change him, but on the contrary, he changed it. Trump is still a harasser or a harasser in chief.
Few days ago, When Trump arrived in France, to celebrate Bastille Day and also mark the 100th anniversary of the United States’ entry into World War, he told Mrs. Macron “You’re in such good shape”, then turned to the president of France, Emmanuel Macron, and said “She’s in such good physical shape”.
Trump then looks back at the French first lady and added “Beautiful.”
Social media immediately reacted to the video with many users denouncing Trump’s comments as sexist, and many called them “creepy” and “inappropriate.”
It’s not just social media, the Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop criticized comments by Donald Trump on French first lady’s appearance, asking if Macron could make the same comment about Trump.
“I wonder if she could say the same about him?” Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop asked during an Australian Broadcasting Corporation interview.
It is not the first time Trump makes such remarks after elections, earlier in June, Trump interrupted an Oval Office phone call with the prime minister of Ireland, Leo Varadkar, in which they were discussing issues such as migration and Britain’s exit from the European Union, just to compliment a reporter’s “nice smile”.
“Well, we have a lot of your Irish press watching us,” Trump says. “And where are you from?” he then asks Caitriona Perry a Washington correspondent for Ireland’s national broadcaster.
Trump has repeatedly commented publicly on the physical appearance of women, and he encountered a horrific attack as a presidential candidate, then as a president, but he doesn’t mind being called a “Harasser”.
As well, his misogynistic approach showed off in his extraordinary attack on a female news anchor last month, when he said MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski was “bleeding badly from a face-lift” during a visit to his Florida golf resort Mar-a-Lago. In addition to that he described her as “low I.Q. Crazy Mika.”
After all of this, nothing can be said except that Trump can’t get enough of his misogyny.
