Egypt is ranked the 116th among 142 countries internationally in terms of existence of literate women and occupied number 115th among 142 countries in terms of number of girls enrolled in primary education and number 80 in terms of girls enrolled in secondary education according to a report illustrating the gap between the two sexes published in 2014 by the World Economic Forum.
